You've Been Told By Doctors, Friends and Social Media That Keep You In Pain and Taking Pills

If you’re suffering from back pain, then you’ve probably heard some of those myths before.

Unfortunately, the internet, friends, and family aren’t always right even if they mean well, so read this to find out what are the biggest myths about back pain you might have believed.

MYTH #1 - IT'S A NORMAL PART OF AGING
One of the biggest myths about back pain that I've heard over the years is that back pain is just a normal part of aging. We found that those are people that need us the most because typically normal aging does not limit you and it should not increase your pain. You should be able to work around those things. Sometimes we don't realize that there are options and treatments out there, so you need to get help rather than accept back pain as something normal. It is not normal to be in pain regardless of your age.
MYTH #2 - PASSIVE TREATMENT WILL FIX MY BACK PAIN
People often think that you can do passive treatments like taking medications like ibuprofen to manage the pain, or even have injections done by a physician, and this will fix your pain. Unfortunately, the chances are that it will just mask your symptoms. People choose those passive options because they most likely do not know any other treatments available to them. However, physical therapy and hands-on techniques get to the root cause of your problem and treat it from a holistic point of view, so you get rid of your pain permanently, not just for a few hours or days.
MYTH #3 - THERE'S A QUICK FIX FOR BACK PAIN
Busy people often don't have the time to commit to physical therapy sessions, so they choose alternative options like massage therapy or chiropractic sessions. While those can be a great addition to a physical therapy treatment, they won't just fix your back in one session. When you allow more time for your treatment, we can get to the bottom of what's been causing your pain, and use hands-on manual therapy techniques that cured back pain of thousands of patients in my clinic over the years. We want you to recover fully and permanently so you can get back to doing things you need to be doing, or other activities that you love. Invest time in your health, it is worth it.
